ABOUT THE WORLDWIDE COALITION FOR PEACE
The Worldwide Coalition for Peace is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to the resolution of conflict through intelligent and civil discourse.
Its mission is to establish a global internet site allowing all citizens of the world the opportunity to contribute to solving the many conflicts and challenges facing humankind.
Its vision, a Virtual United Nations, whereby all citizens are delegates.
How is this to be achieved?
This gathering of thought and solution will be in the form of:
1) FORUM: Informal chat rooms allowing people of all languages to converse and share their perspectives.
2) ARCHIVES: The posting of specific essays and articles on the subjects of peace and conflict.
3) PROPOSALS: The posting of suggested solutions to specific areas of conflict.
4) VOTING: The polling of members regarding specific submitted resolutions.
5) DISTRIBUTION: The sharing of this global consensus to those who may further the resolutions presented.
All forms of interaction are bound by only one restriction:
All discourse must be in a harmless manner.
The WorldWide Coalition for Peace addresses the problem of how we achieve practical solutions to the myriad of conflicts and challenges facing humankind.
By opening up discussion to all of humanity and by establishing civilized and harmless discourse as the method of interaction, the construction of a “Virtual United Nations” is achieved, thus allowing right-relating and civil discourse to be the method whereby the citizenry of the world solve the problems of the world.
WE CONTROL THE POWER FOR CHANGE
In our pursuit of peace, the question we must ask is:
"How many of the Earth’s inhabitants desire a peaceful coexistence?"
95%?
99%?
How many of those inhabitants carry the seeds of solution within their minds but lack a forum of discussion?
What could the collective power of those ideas achieve and is there really a way to describe that exponential power?
ONE POSSIBILITY
Imagine for a moment an Israeli professor communicating his concern for his daughter’s future and safety, with a Palestinian business owner who shares the same concerns for his daughter -his family.
Imagine a Russian student concerned about escalating aggression and tension, expressing those concerns to his counterpart in Georgia. Each one sharing the same fears.
Now imagine this respectful discourse, this discussion, leading to the realization of sameness, leading to understanding and possibly solution.
Now extend your vision forward. To countless generations that mark the point in time where humanity began to realize that there is nothing more important than developing the way all of us interact. A point in time where the masses began to understand that the sameness that connects us does supersede the diversity that distinguishes us.
Now is that time.
